William Stagner, Ph.D. Prior to that, Dr. Stagner was the Director of Glaxo Inc. Pharmaceutics Department which he founded in August 1986. He joined Dow Chemical Health and Consumer Products Division in 1979 after earning his Ph.D. in Physical Pharmacy from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. He completed his M.S. in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy in 1977 and was awarded the Charles J. Lynn American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education Memorial Fellowship. In 1975 he joined the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy faculty as a Clinical Pharmacy instructor. He earned a B.S. degree, with highest distinction, in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. His research interests and publications include polymorphism, solubilization, instrumentation/computer-interfacing of production equipment, taste modulation, and use of statistics in dosage formulation development. He is a member of the AAPS, APhA, American Academy of Dermatology, American Biotechnology Association, Parenteral Drug Association, Society of Toxicology, and Society for Investigative Dermatology.
